HEALTH CRISIS: Music information for live shows, streaming, etc.

SOME VENUES/FESTIVALS ARE OPEN/HAPPENING, BUT MANY ARE NOT
Due to the current national health crisis, most physical/in-person 'live' blues shows/festivals in March/April/May 2020 were cancelled, but some venues/events restarted in June and are continuing to feature socially-distanced 'live' blues in some cases. Regardless, please support our musicians/venues who are putting on 'live streaming' web concerts and watch parties via Facebook, Instagram, etc.

MS Governor's Executive Orders include these music venue/event restrictions: Social distancing required at all times. Masks required indoors. Indoor and outdoor venues/events are operating at reduced capacity/attendance. See details and updates via https://www.sos.ms.gov/Education-Publications/Pages/Executive-Orders.aspx

Clarksdale, Mississippi, (as of September) has public, in-person "live" blues shows you can attend Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays... and live-streamed, virtual shows from Clarksdale every single day/night. For in-person shows (confirm before going!), go to https://www.cathead.biz/music-calendar. For virtual, streaming shows, go to LiveFromClarksdale.org.

Clarksdale's October Festival update: 10/3 Deak Harp's Harmonica Block Party, 10/16-17 Deep Blues Fest "Sampler" music and 10/31, Hambone Festival & Cruzn The Crossroads events are still planned to happen "in-person" (outdoors; socially distanced; masks when not eating/drinking; subject to Gov Exec Orders in place at the time).
