SUMMERTIME BLUES FESTIVAL
SET FOR JULY 31st IN VICKSBURG, MISSISSIPPI
“Down-home, Downtown” event to benefit Gulf Coast clean-up
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (July 15, 2010) – The first annual Summertime Blues Festival will be held on Saturday, July 31st, in downtown Vicksburg, Mississippi. The one-day festival will feature Grammy winner Jimbo Mathus, blues legend L.C. Ulmer, Rocket 88, Seth Libbey, The Koestler Brothers and many other Vicksburg musicians. The event—sponsored by Vicksburg Main Street Program, Duff’s Tavern, The Upper End and Willingham’s—will begin at 2 PM and will last until midnight. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door—available for purchase at Duff’s Tavern, located at 1306 Washington St. in downtown Vicksburg.
