These specialty license plates benefit the Mississippi Blues Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. To date, the plates have raised more than $50,000 for three funds:

• Benevolent Fund: Helps Mississippi blues artists in times of need.
• Blues Trail Fund: Helps communities pay for markers, along with maintenance and/or repair. Also helps fund other blues-related projects.

It’s easy to order a Mississippi Blues Trail car tag:

• Go in person to your local tax collector to place your order. The best time is when you renew.
• Pay the annual fee of $31.
• Your tag will arrive in the mail in 4-7 days (a standard $2.50 mailing charge will apply).
