WATERFORD: Foxfire Ranch w/live music on Sundays, 5pm

Sundays @ the Foxfire Ranch in Waterford. This rurally-located venue is  located off Highway 7 between Oxford and Holly Springs featureslive blues every Sunday night. The main venue is an open-sidedstructure, but they’ve recently added an enclosed room for when theweather is too cold. They also serve great downhome food. Music startsearly, around 5pm. Usually $10.

Oct 8-10 (Fri-Sun) – Special Event – Foxfire Fall Festival; three days of bands, with a heavy dose ofblues on Sunday, when performers include Kenny Brown, Bill “Howlin’ Madd” Perry, and Mark “Muleman” Massey

Oct 31 – Mosely& Johnson – New Albany-based group that recorded multiple albumsfor labels including Malaco, wrote songs that were recorded by majorartists including Johnnie Taylor, Little Milton, and Bobby “Blue” Bland

Nov 7 – Effie Burt (new Oxford-based artist who mixes blues, jazz, and soul, backed by some of Oxford’s best musicians)

Hours for the party on Wednesday, Nov. 24, are from 8 p.m.-12 midnight. Admission is $10, and tickets are available from Sunflower River Blues Association members and at the Greyhound Bus Station in downtown Clarksdale.
