BAY SAINT LOUIS: 100 Men Hall benefit…

Bay Saint Louis, MS – The 100 Men Hall will host a musician's benefit and
second line in honor of Isaac J. "Guitar Bo" Darensbourg (11/18/1937-
06/19/2019).
Like many musicians and performers who enrich the community's lives with
talent and skill, Guitar Bo's funeral expenses exceed his family's resources. Guitar
Bo was honored earlier this year in a mural on the side of the 100 Men Hall where
he played frequently with his earlier bands (the Claudettes Combo in the early
sixties), and with his wife, Ms. Dee.
The 100 Men Hall was built by the African American community in the late 1800s
with the purpose of raising money to bury the dead in a respectable manner.
Please join us on Saturday, July 20, for a benefit fundraiser to raise the burial
funds needed for Guitar Bo's family and to celebrate his life with a second line.
Time and more details to be announced. If you are a musician and would like to
participate in the benefit, please contact 100MenHall@gmail.com.
