Three-time Grammy award winner Nathan Best joins Bay Saint Louis’ favorite saxophone player, Jordan Chalden on the historic stage for a night of dinner and music. Dinner prepared by The Smoking Oyster’s Chef Chris Hayes.
Nathan Best was one of the members of the legendary group: The O’Jays. In
1993, he replaced Sammy Strain of the O’Jays. In 2005, the group was inducted
into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Nathan sang the lead vocal track along with
the group’s bass singer, Isaac Freeman, for two songs in the hit comedy movie,
“Oh Brother, Where Art Thou” (which starred George Clooney and was released
on December 18, 2000). The soundtrack is the third largest selling soundtrack in
history. Nathan and the other members of the Fairfield Four were the only
African Americans ever to win Album of the Year at the County Music Awards to
this present date (2019).
Jordan Chalden is known for his deep passion to touch the hearts of people,
Jordan’s sound has always been special. Jordan has graced the stage in venues all
across the country and throughout the world as an artist alongside many well
known performers. The sound of his horn sets an atmosphere that touches the
deepest depths of one’s very own soul.
