Bay St. Louis, Mississippi – named in 2010 by Coastal Living Magazine as one of the top ten beach communities in the country – has been hosting Bay Bridgefest since 2007. That year, thousands celebrated the reconnection of the coast when a new bridge was opened, replacing the one destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The event has been designated a AAA Southern Travel Treasure and in 2012, showcases historic Old Town’s newly revitalized beachfront area – giving serious music fans a rare chance to see dozens of their favorite New Orleans performers in a relaxed setting. The festival also features regional art, Coastal cuisine, a special Coke Kids Corner, The Lazy Magnolia/Miller Lite Beach Beer Garden, and a 5k Run/Walk across the bridge. You’ll even have a chance to win a new car, in a contest sponsored by Henderson Ford!
In addition to the free Saturday and Sunday shows, two ticketed fund-raisers slated for Friday, June 1st will kick-off the action-packed weekend. The annual Patron’s Party, a music/food extravaganza, is followed by the Juke Joint Jam in the Depot District that benefits Bay-Waveland Habitat for Humanity. Special weekend hotel rates are even available. We invite you to join us for the entire weekend, as we celebrate the resiliency of the human spirit!
