CLARKSDALE: Barefoot Workshops documentary film workshop

BAREFOOT WORKSHOPS TO RETURN TO CLARKSALE, MISSISSIPPI…  In the past 8years, Barefoot has brought 100 filmmakers and photographers from 18countries to Clarksdale, Mississippi to produce 40 documentaries. Students have interviewed 130 people and filmed over 500 hours offootage throughout the Delta.  Barefoot and its alumni are helpingarchive and tell the story of The Mississippi Delta — including (inmany cases) the story of the blues here.  Earlier this year Barefootstarted offering photo documentary workshops with David Turnley, editingdocumentary workshops with Tyler Hubby and they are moving forward withsongwriting and guitar workshops (Cary Hudson) and painting workshops(Ellen Langford) in late 2011 and 2012.  Starting in August, BarefootWorkshops and anyone who enrolls will continue this tradition in Marfa,Texas.
