On Saturday, September 25, the Rock & Blues Museum will participatein the sixth annual Museum Day, sponsored by Smithsonian Magazine. TheRock & Blues Museum will join participating museums nationwide toopen their doors free of charge to all visitors who download the MuseumDay Ticket from www.smithsonian.com/museumday.
This is a greatopportunity to invite friends and family in Clarksdale and surroundingcommunities to visit the museum for free who present a Museum Dayticket and take in our varied exhibits including Clarksdale musicianssuch as Terry “Big T” Williams, Big Jack Johnson, Wesley Jefferson and aspecial tribute to Mr Tater the Music Maker.
The museum islocated at 113 E. 2nd Street in downtown Clarksdale, MS, and will beopen on Saturday, September 25th, from 11am to 5pm. Visitors whopresent the pass will gain free admissionfor two people. Over 300,000 people attended museums on Museum Day2009 in 1,300 museums in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
