GREENWOOD: Bikes, Bayous and Blues

The Money Road Cycling Club, in conjunction with Greenwood-Leflore County Chamber of Commerce, will present the 7th annual Bikes, Blues & Bayous bike tour on Saturday, August 2, 2014. There will be a 20 mile, 46 mile and 62 mile “Metric Century” route.  The rides will begin at 7am on Front Street in historic downtown Greenwood, Mississippi, the primary filming location of 2011’s Oscar-winning movie, THE HELP.
 

In addition, the Tour de Grand will take place again this year.  This is a 2 mile “cruise” down beautiful Grand Boulevard and is intended for the younger riders or any age looking for a more modest distance at a leisurely pace.  It begins at 8:15am across the river. 

Register by Friday, July 18 to avoid LATE Registration Fee! 

ANNOUNCING!

Live Blues – Chef Eric Band will be the featured artists at the Finish Line area after the ride from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Live Blues – Watermelon Slim will begin performing during the ride at the Money rest stop beginning 9 AM.

Massage Therapists – Mississippi’s AMTA sports massage team will offer their services in the Finish Line area after the ride for a $1/minute fee

Viking Cooking School – A cooking demonstration class on August 2nd from 6-8pm will be held at the Viking Training Center. Cost is $89/person.  Call 662-451-6750 to register or for more info. Deadline is July 25th
