INDIANOLA: BB King Museum w/Felder Rushing & Zora Neale Hurston events

SAT 3/19 @ 10am – Master Gardener Felder Rushing Returns to the B.B. King Museum
– Dr. Rushing will present a workshop, “Potager and Kitchen Gardening:Growing Food, Flowers, and Fun in Small Spaces” and feature containersof all types (including recycled), and raised bed gardening with mixedvegetables, herbs, and a few flowers. This event is free and open tochildren and adults alike!

SAT 3/19 @ 3pm – “Zora Neale Hurston: Discussion and Documentary” – A public discussion of Zora Neale Hurston’s book, Their Eyes Were Watching God at 3:00 p.m. Also, Zora Neale Hurston: Jump at the Sun screening with Writer/Producer Kristy Andersen as part of the South Arts Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers at 4:00 p.m. Following a screening of her feature film, Andersen and the audience will engage in a discussion about the film and her work as a filmmaker. Following the event, guests are encouraged to come together at the House of Khafre, located at 103 Main Street, Indianola.
