A reminder to
Come celebrate with us!
Saturday, February 18th
6:00 p.m. – Reception at the Museum to celebrate Dion Brown’s
first anniversary as Executive Director
7:00 p.m. – Mahalia! A play with music to celebrate Black History and
Black Music Month
Everyone is welcome at your museum, so come and bring your friends!
Please join us at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday for refreshments and good cheer, then stay for the play Mahalia! at 7:00. Professional storyteller and poet Diane Williams of the Mississippi Arts Commission brings to life the Queen of Gospel Music, Mahalia Jackson, in her one-woman (with backup musicians) show. Afterwards, have dinner at one of our fine Indianola restaurants.
Another great Saturday night in the Delta!
The reception is FREE — thanks to our sponsors Mitchell Distributing and Four Lane Liquors —
with catering by Karen’s Kitchen of Indianola
and the play is very affordable — $5 per person and only $3 for members.

and give us a call at 662 887-9539 to reserve your seat.
If you can come earlier, remember we have live music every Saturday in our gift shop.
