The city of Newton unveils the latest marker on the Mississippi Blues Trail Tuesday afternoon.
The marker will be in front of the historic Newton Depot. It features several native sons who contributed to blues history including Prez Kenneth, Willie Nix, Andrew Brown, Lamar Williams, and Charles Evers.
Guest speakers for the unveiling will be Newton Mayor Murray Weems and state Sen. Terry C. Burton.
The Mississippi Blues Trail includes 202 markers.
